I have bought a new computer to be my new Linux box. I got a Dell Vostro 200 mini tower for about $300. I am running Ubuntu Linux on it. I have moved my Blog over to the new server and made updates to the database to reflect my new DNS structure. Due to certain technical issues related to how my network is setup in my new house, I had to change the way my internal and external DNS records are arranged. This required a couple MySQL database tweaks. Let me know if anything seems wrong.

Yesterday, Saturday August 9th, a bunch of us had a bonfire at Coronado beach. It’s been a while since we had one and we all tried to have a bonfire a few weeks ago. We ran into problems when we found out that all the fire pits were taken already because we were too late. This time Joe got up at 4AM and made it out there by 6AM to reserve a pit! He even setup a perimeter using yellow caution tape and setup a big tent for shade. It was a nice day out filled with fun under the sun and back breaking wood hauling. We had a total of 16 trash cans filled with an old fence from my parents’ house. in the end we gave 2 cans of wood to our beach neighbors because we could not burn it all fast enough. I wore short pants! (Shock, Gasp!) And I got a little sunburned on my legs but it’s not too bad.
