Jimmy and Crystal’s Wedding

Yesterday I went to the wedding of a friend, Jimmy. It was at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The wedding guests were given a free day pass to explore the park that day. Ken, Donna, and I went a little earlier than the others so we could see a few things. The ceremony and reception were very nice. There was a bus that took us around the back of the park and through the tram road to get to the ceremony site. After that was over we went back around to the front and walked to a covered patio area where the reception was. There were animal demonstrations as well as the usual dancing, music, food, and funny speeches. Here’s some photos.

Kenny’s Big Move

So our friend Ken has found a new job. He is now a new level designer at a video game studio in Irvine. This past Friday we had a sort of going away party for him. Although we won’t see him as much as we like anymore, he is only a couple hours away and can visit every now and then. He’s still looking for an apartment at the moment and is staying with his brother up there for the time being. Scott was able to join us for nearly the entire party via Skype, which was actually Dave’s idea. I just spiced it up by giving him his own PTZ camera to control so he could look around the room. It worked really well.

Late Christmas Gift

My parents got me a Bother label printer this past Christmas. Although I did want one, I just wanted a different model. So they returned the first one and finally today I went out and bought the model I wanted myself. It’s the Brother P-touch PT-2700. It can print on 9/64″ to 1″ TZ Tape and can be connected to a computer. I can insert my own graphics and use any fonts I want when using the computer to print. Today I used it to label my patch panel in the server room and all the network jacks throughout the house. :-)
Thanks Mom and Dad for the cool gift!
