Success! Halloween 2009 was spectacularly spooky. We had 245 trick or treaters. This year we had the usual Hagitha the animatronic witch and Shaun the Zombie. I have retired that old giant digital clock and in it’s place I created a 120″ 16:9 projection of the last 12 photos taken by Hagitha’s Snapshot cam. (It’s just like Disneyland!) It refreshes every 10 seconds. We still have the two old headstone monitors as well. I originally wanted to make the screen rear projection, but that turned out to be too much trouble and I was running out of time. Instead I placed the projector and computer in the truck and parked it off center on the driveway. It worked out really well. I projected on large sheets of butcher paper. Thanks goes out to Mark for letting me borrow his very expensive DSLR camera, Crisha for keeping head count and handing out cards for the website, Joe for dressing like a woman, Dave for letting me borrow some of his gear, UK Dave for making the CheezePix software, and my parents for putting up with all this madness!
