Attack of the Dust Blobs

After a little over a year, I finally got my first “Dust Blob” in my PLV-Z700 projector. It was visible mainly as a blurry greenish silver dollar sized dot in the lower left quadrant on very dark or black screens such as during movie credits. If I adjust the focus, I could make it come into clarity as a bright green strand of fiber/dust lodged somewhere within the optics. Fortunately, I have a handy air duster that came with the unit. I simply turned on cleaning mode in the menus (aka. make the screen black), flipped the projector over, opened the little cleaning hatch, and shoot air in the green hole. Blob gone. Thanks Sanyo for the handy cleaning ability. :-)
